My first ever Bantu Knot Out

Hi there,
One of the most common ways to style natural Hair is the bantu knot and a resulting knot out. The Bantu knot is a hairstyle created when a small section of hair is twisted into a single strand and then twisted into a knot. Remember Jada Pinkett Smith's character Niobe in The Matrix Reloaded movie? Yep that's the bantu knot.

Just to jug your memory

The bantu knots are  done on damp hair and when they are dried the hair can be loosened to reveal curly hair. This resultant hairstyle is known as a bantu knot out.

So after watching a couple of You tube videos I tried it out for myself. Here's what I did:

I washed and conditioned my hair. Then I cut my hair into manageable sections

I moisturised each section with this

I sealed with olive oil

I put a little bit of gel

Then I twisted each section into a single strand and  rolled it  into a knot .I secured it with a hair band(didn't have any bobby pins) It doesn't look like any of the pictures I saw but its my first time so forgive me :-)

I went to bed and the next morning I took out the bantu knots and this is what I got after separating the "curls"

Hmmm not bad but not good either Lol! I guess next time I'll make them smaller and use another product I've been thinking about-Ecostyler gel.

Try out the bantu knot out and see if you can get great results .

APHOGEE 2 STEP PROTEIN TREATMENT REVIEW

Hi guys,    I don't know if I have mentioned it before but I have been shedding like crazy for months. I don't know how I still have any hair left on my head. My hair is also breaking and doesn't seem to retain moisture as much as it used to. After a really terrible day of detangling( I use a wide tooth comb now) and I knew I had to get help. I have seen quite a few Instagram testimonials on the Aphogee 2 Step Protein Treatment so I decided to try it out. Its a hard protein treatment that promises to stop breakage and shedding. I read a few reviews online first then I got right into it. I decided to get the sachets since its my first time. The white sachet contains the protein treatment while the lilac sachet is the balancing moisturiser.  N1000      The instructions were simple. To begin I laid out my products. From left to right- Aussie moist conditioner , applicator bottle, ORS shampoo, ORS replenishing conditioner(DC) an...
