I'm back! Sorta

Hi friends,
It seems like its been ages since I have blogged. I have been terribly ill! For the first time in my life I was hospitalised for malaria and a persistent cough. I'm still recovering  so this post will be short. I have been protective styling with wigs for a couple of weeks now. I simply cornrow my hair, wear my wig and I am good to go. I couldn't do anything with my hair while I was at the hospital so when I was discharged on Thursday my hair was a matted mess. I was really tired but I knew I had to do something. I didnt have the strength to make a detangling cocktail so I decided to improvise. I went under the shower and turned the hot water on and just let it beat down on me,thoroughly saturating my hair. I was there for a long time and when I was tired I used my VO5 conditioner and did some finger detangling. It was so easy! I couldn't believe my eyes. I lost very little hair. When I was done finger detangling I used a wide tooth comb and my hair was a soft fro once again. We certainly learn everyday. The road to recovery has been slow but I will be back on my feet soon and back to blogging again. Have a happy week ahead.

I have bought tons of products since the last time but I haven't had time to do a proper review of each one. Its better later than never not so? PRODUCT REVIEW // ORS REPLENISHING CONDITIONER

This time its the ORS REPLENISHING CONDITIONER. Do not let the name fool you, it's actually a deep conditioner and not a wash out conditioner. Here's my honest review:

CHEAP TRICKS // HEAT BASED DEEP CONDITIONING WITHOUT A STEAMER/DRYER

Hi guys,
I hope you all are doing great. I have been thinking of how to make my blog better and I came up with a few ideas. I am thinking of introducing new series like the one above - cheap tricks which will feature once a month. It will contain tips and tricks I have learned along the way to make your hair journey much more affordable. I hope you will all benefit from it.
My first trick is: Heat based deep conditioning without a steamer or dryer. As you may know deep conditioning and heat (moist heat) go hand in hand.  Infact I am yet to find any deep conditioner that does not recommend conditioning with heat. For example SHEA MOISTURE'S DEEP TREATMENT MASQUE (which I have reviewed on this blog) recommends using heat for 30 minutes while ORS REPLENISHING CONDITIONER (review coming up soon) recommends 10-15 minutes with heat. Why you may ask. Well the heat opens up your cuticles which makes absorption of nutrients much more effective and also a lot faster. However if you ar…
