Hi guys,     In my last post I told you I was super excited about this update. The reason is simple - my hair grew!!! I love doing length checks because they make me know that my regimen is working and my hair appreciates every kiss and hug I throw its way. Without further ado, here are my 15 months post BC pictures. If you compare these pictures with the ones from my last update you'll notice that I retained quite a bit of length. I think I had about 1 1/4" to 1 1/2" of growth in most places. Now I can do a low pony tail ;-)  Please ignore the rubber band, I am an Unrepentant sinner :-(    For the first time in ages I felt like using a flat iron to straighten my hair so I could really see how long it has grown, but my fear of heat damage held me back. I do not want to lose even 1 single curl so I had to hold myself back. In my next length check I will use a tape measure just to know in terms of inches what my progress is. This month

Hi guys,     It has been a weird couple of weeks so kindly pardon my long silence. I went to Mega Plaza in VI for a spot of shopping about three weeks ago and as usual I went to check out the oil stand. I found such a wide array of oils that it felt like I was in oil heaven. There were more than 6 brands of Olive oil and as usual I chose the most mysterious looking one with a super sexy bottle.   N1130 I saw about 2 brands of Coconut oil. I used the Parachute brand last month and I really like it, but I was open to trying a new brand. I found this one that looked semi-solid and I immediately grabbed it.  N570 I also found an oil I have had on my to-buy list for a while - Sweet Almond Oil. Now Foods brand has it for about N4500 and I was planning to get it from Olori but then I ran into this brand. I was a little worried because it is a lot (A WHOLE LOT!!!) cheaper but I'll try it first and see if its good enough for my hair and skin.  N730 I have

Hi guys, A synonym is a word with the same or similar meaning of another word. Words that are synonyms are said to be synonymous, and the state of being a synonym is called synonymy. For example the synonyms for a Wash and Go are: Tangles Single Strand Knots Multiple Strand Knots etc. Sorry for the half baked English lesson ;-) but if you are a natural I'm sure you might agree with the above. Nothing looks nicer than a well oiled 'Fro but after rocking one I end up cursing myself when I am trying to get rid of the Single Strand knots that have congregated on my head at the end of the day. I avoided Wash and Gos for a while as I suggested in this post I did about dealing with Single strand knots but sometimes I miss my fro and I just have to let it out. Thankfully I finally found a way to end my Wash and Go days with little or no tangles.
