HEY 2015!!!!

Hello guys,
I know this post is laaate but hey, its better late than never right???  It seems like it was just yesterday I did my welcome to 2014 post. I cannot believe 2015 came so fast! I mean it was January 2014 just a few days ago right? Well 2015 is here so lets get to it. For starters I have absolutely no resolutions this year. Yes you read that right. I mean why do we even bother, when most times by the time February rolls by we have forgotten them all? I made 10 resolutions last year and I did pretty woefully so this year I am not making any.  Take a look at my  resolutions for 2014 hairwise + my end of year results and judge for yourself:

1. Deep condition every week... Failed

2. Alternate between Cowashing  and shampooing each week... Failed

3. No heat will be applied to my hair...Passed

4. Learn how to flat twist my hair...Failed woefully

5. Do a length check only once a month...Passed

6. Keep my hair in protective styles every week till July...Well Pass-failed

7. Experiment with more hairstyles...Passed sorta.

8. Do hot oil treatments at least once a month...Failed so badly it hurts.

9. Prepoo before every wash day...Failed so badly my hair could slap me right now

10.Retain 6 inches by the end of the year...Failed

Its so sad but well, stuff happens. Like you all know I ended 2014 on a sad note. After a good stretch of healthy hair practices I fell asleep and almost ruined my hair in the process. I stopped deep conditioning regularly and didn't even attempt to Prepoo. My hair started breaking like crazy. I did a self trim and I must say it helped a bit. I still see broken pieces but at least its not as bad as it was before. I am still trying to go back to the days of no breakage.
Blogwise I really hope to do more blogging this year with more content and more hair adventures. I really hope you guys stick around with me. I wish you all lots of growth, health and curls that pop like champagne.

Hugs

KimB

I also hope you like the new blog design.     If you live in Nigeria then you are aware that things are getting out of hand financially. The recession is hitting really hard and it seems no one is immune. How to create a a sleek faux bun with short natural hair!!!!

Hi people!    So its been a while since my last post and I apologize. I have been all kinds of busy but I have got something really cool for you all today. I haven't really done any hairstyle posts on this blog  because in my bid to retain length I just cornrow and throw on a wig. I have been doing that for months with the random Afro-puff thrown in once in awhile but this week I just wasn't  in the mood for any of my wigs. I decided to finally do something I have been dying to do: a faux bun!! Its super easy just follow the steps below and you'll be rocking your faux bun in a couple of minutes :-)                                                                                                Preparing my hair I stretched my hair with my cornrows first. I took out the braids then moisturised and sealed: My stretched hair  I sectioned my hair into 2 parts. I started from the front section. I added some Ecostyler gel, brushed it lightly with a toothbrush and pulled
