MY CASABELLA EXPERIENCE

Hi guys,
I hope you had a pleasant week,  I know I did :-) A while ago I read Kemi Lewis' ( of KL'S NATURALS) blogpost about a temporary spray-on hair colour she had gotten from Casabella at the Palms shopping mall.  Casabella is a beauty shop and they sell a wide range of hair products from Giovanni, Cantu, Shea Moisture and a number of other big natural hair brands.  I loved the results she got using the spray so I had it in mind to pick up a bottle from Casabella whenever I was at the Palms. Turns out I didnt have to go that far. So there I was minding my own business on the paved roads of Ikota shopping mall when I looked up and there it was:

To say I was excited is putting it mildly. I went in sharply and proceeded to feed my eyes. They had a fairly wide range of stuff from wigs to make up, creams, brushes and finally HAIR PRODUCTS!!! I was spoilt for choice. I don't think I have mentioned it here before but I really need to over haul my staple products. My hair is so over Cantu Shea butter leave in and I'm in the market for a new deep conditioner as well. After a loooong while of picking and dropping I finally settled for:

Keracare Leave in Conditioner. N3300
Tresseme Naturals Nourishing Moisture Conditioner N2990

Hig beams Intense Temporary hair colour N1300

I even got a Casabella loyalty card:

The shop assistant was really helpful though I didn't get her name, pity. I have started using the products so you can expect reviews in a couple of weeks. So tell me have you bought any new products lately??

Thanks for stopping by...

I'm currently shopping/looking for a good leave in conditioner for my hair, something that's not too expensive and where i can get it. I also wont mind referrals on good shampoo and conditioner too.

    Thanks in advance

    1. Hello sunshine, we are good thanks for asking. I hope you are too :-) I'm currently looking for a new leave-in to replace my staple Cantu Shea butter leave-in so I might not be able to recommend one for you right now as I'm still experimenting. However you could browse olori.com to see all the leave-ins they stock and see if you'll find one you think your hair will like. For conditioners I would recommend Vo5 moisturising conditioner. Its about N450 and it does the job. There are different types of Vo5 conditioners, so be sure you read the label carefully and pick the moisturising one. I use kids organics shampoo (the purple one). It doesn't dry out my hair so I kind off like it. It's N900. I hope this helps :-)

How to create a a sleek faux bun with short natural hair!!!!

Hi people!    So its been a while since my last post and I apologize. I have been all kinds of busy but I have got something really cool for you all today. I haven't really done any hairstyle posts on this blog  because in my bid to retain length I just cornrow and throw on a wig. I have been doing that for months with the random Afro-puff thrown in once in awhile but this week I just wasn't  in the mood for any of my wigs. I decided to finally do something I have been dying to do: a faux bun!! Its super easy just follow the steps below and you'll be rocking your faux bun in a couple of minutes :-)                                                                                                Preparing my hair I stretched my hair with my cornrows first. I took out the braids then moisturised and sealed: My stretched hair  I sectioned my hair into 2 parts. I started from the front section. I added some Ecostyler gel, brushed it lightly with a toothbrush and pulled
