OIL HUNTING AT MEGA PLAZA

Hi guys,
It has been a weird couple of weeks so kindly pardon my long silence. I went to Mega Plaza in VI for a spot of shopping about three weeks ago and as usual I went to check out the oil stand. I found such a wide array of oils that it felt like I was in oil heaven. There were more than 6 brands of Olive oil and as usual I chose the most mysterious looking one with a super sexy bottle.

N1130

I saw about 2 brands of Coconut oil. I used the Parachute brand last month and I really like it, but I was open to trying a new brand. I found this one that looked semi-solid and I immediately grabbed it.

N570

I also found an oil I have had on my to-buy list for a while - Sweet Almond Oil. Now Foods brand has it for about N4500 and I was planning to get it from Olori but then I ran into this brand. I was a little worried because it is a lot (A WHOLE LOT!!!) cheaper but I'll try it first and see if its good enough for my hair and skin.

N730

I haven't had the time to whip up any DIY creations so they are still unopened but I'm all out of whipped Shea butter so I might have to bring out the food processor tonight.

In other news it is length check time!!!! I am super excited, Can you guess why? Expect a hair update next!
;-)

  1. I had a bottle of the same brand of Almond oil. Got it at Next Cash & Carry in Abuja. Please keep us posted on how your hair fares with the oil? I was really excited when I found it, but was disappointed afterwards as it left me with nothing to remember.

    1. I won't be suprised if I am underwhelmed, as it was ridiculously cheap. Will do a review when I get around to using it.

How to create a a sleek faux bun with short natural hair!!!!

Hi people!    So its been a while since my last post and I apologize. I have been all kinds of busy but I have got something really cool for you all today. I haven't really done any hairstyle posts on this blog  because in my bid to retain length I just cornrow and throw on a wig. I have been doing that for months with the random Afro-puff thrown in once in awhile but this week I just wasn't  in the mood for any of my wigs. I decided to finally do something I have been dying to do: a faux bun!! Its super easy just follow the steps below and you'll be rocking your faux bun in a couple of minutes :-)                                                                                                Preparing my hair I stretched my hair with my cornrows first. I took out the braids then moisturised and sealed: My stretched hair  I sectioned my hair into 2 parts. I started from the front section. I added some Ecostyler gel, brushed it lightly with a toothbrush and pulled
